Once your site is finished and you have decided to keep it, there are only two moving parts to understand. This page explains both, so nothing about going live is a surprise and nothing about it is in my hands alone.
What your website is made of
Your domain name
Your address on the internet, like yourclinic.in. You rent it for a small fee once a year, from a company called a registrar.
Your website
The pages patients actually see. Built for you by me. You get a copy of every file, so it is never trapped anywhere.
The hosting
The computer that keeps your site online day and night, on a service called Cloudflare. For a site like yours, this part is free.
How it goes live, in three steps
You buy your domain
Choose your name and pay the small yearly fee. Register it in your own name and your own email address, never mine. This one detail is what keeps the whole thing yours.
You give me access
A two minute step inside your domain account lets me publish the site to that address. I walk you through it on a call or over WhatsApp, screen by screen.
I take it live
I connect your domain, publish the site and check it on a phone, a tablet and a desktop. Usually live within the hour.
About the padlock. Every site I publish gets the little padlock in the browser bar, the one that tells patients the connection is secure. It is included, it renews itself, and it costs nothing extra. If anyone quotes you five thousand rupees a year for an SSL certificate, you do not need it.
What it costs each year
The build is a one time cost, agreed before anything goes live. After that, the only bill that comes back every year is your domain. Here are the two places to buy one.
An Indian registrar
Hostinger, GoDaddy, BigRock
Pay in rupees with a GST invoice. Offers .in and gives you local support in your own time zone.
Cloudflare
cloudflare.com
Sells at cost with no first year trick. Handles .com, .org and .net, but not .in. You pay by card in dollars.
Which should you pick? If you want a .in name, a rupee invoice with GST, or support in Indian hours, use an Indian registrar. If you want the lowest steady price on a .com and you have a card that works for international payments, Cloudflare is cheaper.
The golden rule: whichever you choose, look at the renewal price and not the cheap first year offer. Then switch on auto renew so the name never quietly expires while you are busy with patients.
You own everything
- The domain is yours.Registered in your name and your email. You own it for as long as you keep renewing it, and you can move it anywhere without asking me.
- Every file is yours. You get the complete website. You are never renting it from me and you are never locked in.
- The account is yours. The hosting sits in an account you control. I am only a helper on it, and you can remove me any time you like.
Your only regular cost is the domain, roughly ₹700 to ₹1,900 a year depending on the name you choose. The hosting and the security padlock are free.
Prices are indicative for 2026 and vary by provider and by offer, so always check the current renewal price before you buy. Cloudflare bills in US dollars, so your bank adds a small foreign transaction fee on top. Indian registrars bill in rupees with a GST invoice.
